Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) is the second largest airport in the Philippines. The new terminal 2 of the airport is designed to handle up to 5 million international passengers per annum; with its modular design, it will be expanded to 8 million passengers per annum within 10 years. The project will transform the local airport into a world-class facility and resort-gateway.

The roof structure of the terminal is constructed from glulam (laminated timber,) a natural and sustainable material. This is one of the biggest project of its kind to introduce glulam as the main building structure in the world.
